The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) is the Leader of Asia Pacific Travel and Tourism.
headquartered in Bangkok, Thailand, PATA is the leading authority, advocate and catalyst for responsible development and sustainable growth of the Asia Pacific tourism industry. With nearly 100 government, state and city tourism bodies, 55 airlines and cruise lines, and hundreds of travel industry company members globally, PATA continues to enhance the growth, value and quality of travel and tourism to, from and within Asia Pacific.
 
PATA NorCal is the Northern California Chapter of the Pacific Asia Travel Association.

Travel Industry Day in San Francisco
ALL Travel Industry Professionals Invited to Travel Industry Day “TOTAL Tourism: The Next Generation Friday, November 30, 2007

Travel Industry Day is presented in conjunction with the Pacific Asia Travel Association's North America Division & Chapters 19th Annual General Meeting from November 29-December 2, 2007 at the Hyatt at Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco, which brings together PATA members and Chapter leaders from across the United States and Canada, hosted by PATA's Northern California Chapter.

On Saturday, December 2nd, Chapter leaders will redefine the mission of the PATA North America Chapters in support of PATA’s commitment to promote inbound tourism to North America, among other relevant industry trends, during Chapter business sessions, including a presentation on “Volunteering and Voluntourism.”
